York Energy Centre Upgrades Project
Capital Power and its partner are proposing equipment upgrades at the York Energy Centre (YEC). The upgrades will provide operational flexibility and approximately 30MW of additional generation capacity depending on ambient temperature. The project was submitted to Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) through the Same Technology Upgrades Solicitation.
Capital Power announces renewable power asset sell-down transaction
EDMONTON, Alberta – Capital Power and Axium Infrastructure are pleased to announce that Axium, through one of its managed funds, has agreed to acquire a 49% interest in two operating Canadian wind facilities from Capital Power. The 246 MW portfolio includes the Quality Wind facility in British Columbia and the Port Dover and Nanticoke Wind facility in Ontario.
