We’ve been a proud supporter of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation for nearly a decade. Their outstanding efforts and commitment to supporting transformational change at the Stollery Children’s Hospital is admirable. The funds they raise each year contributes to the vital research, programming, equipment and talent at the hospital that directly impacts kids and families across northern Alberta. The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation focuses on three key areas to help give kids the best chance to live a long and healthy life:
- They raise money in support of advancing specialized children’s physical and mental health care;
- They educate communities about the Hospital and children’s physical and mental health needs; and
- They thank donors by sharing with them the impact of their gifts on the lives of Stollery kids and their families from backyards across Alberta and beyond.

“We knew before our son Simon was born that he would need surgery to bypass a blockage in his digestive system after birth. After he was born at another hospital, he was immediately taken to the Stollery Children’s neonatal ICU. The facility and staff were fantastic. They provided excellent care and were sensitive to keeping parents informed and involved. We were able to hold Simon every day even though it took several nurses to help position him in our arms with all of his various lines and sensors attached. The Stollery Children’s Hospital makes a difference in the lives of many children. We are fortunate to have such a facility in Edmonton.”

“I supported the Stollery Children’s Hospital through the EmPowering Communities program because my wife and I are regular volunteers at Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton, and its guests depend on the care and support of the Stollery. We also have close friends whose son was born with a heart condition and required a prolonged stay at the Stollery in 2017 following multiple surgeries. “Super Sam”, as he’s lovingly known by the Stollery nurses, currently remains on a heart transplant list. We’ve seen first-hand the top-notch care Sam and other children receive. The Stollery staff are kind, compassionate and help create an environment where sick kids can still be kids.”
